In 2011, the compilation was reissued in numerous territories to coincide with dates of The Neverending World Tour-this version included the Ballad & Pop Hits – The Complete Video Collection as its bonus DVD. It was a commercial success upon release, and went on to be certified gold or platinum in several territories, namely Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Original deluxe editions of the record featured a bonus DVD containing 18 music videos. The duo recorded " One Wish" and " Reveal" in June 2006, their first songs recorded as a duo since vocalist Marie Fredriksson's brain tumour diagnosis four years earlier. It was issued in conjunction with a six-disc box set, The Rox Box/Roxette 86–06.
In addition to he LP box with four vinyl albums, the original album will also released, this time with a gatefold cover and pressed in marbled or black vinyl.A Collection of Roxette Hits: Their 20 Greatest Songs! is the fourth greatest hits compilation album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 18 October 2006 by Roxette Recordings and Capitol to celebrate 20 years since the release of their debut album, Pearls of Passion. It would however become much-loved by Roxette fans – the “Roxers” – and recorded by many artists, among them American singer Laura Branigan. Other unearthed demos from 1990 are Small Talk, Church Of Your Heart, Physical Fascination, Things Will Never Be The Same, I Remember You and the future single B-side The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye – one of the strongest songs that didn’t make the original album.
Run Run Run was a favourite of mine – I thought it had the potential to go a long way.” Run Run Run and Another Place, Another Time from the Heartland Café album felt like quite strong contenders, so we did new and more “Roxified” demo versions of them. Gessie recalles: “In the autumn of 1989 I was going through all kinds of possible material for the new Roxette album. The Joyride box set also offers a chance to hear two previously unreleased demos of songs originally released by guitarist Per Gessie’s former group Gyllene Tider, who in 1984 released the album Heartland Café. Twelve of the songs featured in the set are previously unreleased, among them the first recording of Hotblooded, which originally was meant to be the album’s opening track until Joyride knocked it down a notch, giving the album and the following Join the Joyride World Tour its name. A richly illustrated 32-page booklet tells the story. The set will be released as a 4LP vinyl and a 3CD box set, including the original release as well as previously unreleased or hard-to-get material, that paints a fuller picture of a unique time in pop history. Roxette are to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their third album, Joyride, with an anniversary edition, out 26 November 2021.
